Worker dead after Finch Avenue incident
TORONTO—A man reported to be in his 30s has died as a result of injuries received when he was struck by a Bobcat at a construction site in northeast Toronto Oct. 28, reports indicated.
A Ministry of Labour (MOL) spokesperson said the worker was attended to on site by EMS and taken to hospital with no vital signs.
Toronto Police Const. Victor Kwong told media that emergency crews were called to the site at Finch Avenue West and Weston roads at 8:44 a.m.
The MOL said an inspector and an engineer were assigned to the incident and the investigation is continuing.
The worker's employer was Paramount Forming and the constructor at the site is Medallion Development Inc.
