The worker was employed by Torrent Shotcrete, involved in the shotcrete/concrete sector, working on a project for contractor LCL Builds.

Neither Toronto Police nor the Ministry of Labour (MOL) could confirm the exact nature of the fatal injury suffered beyond indicating a man was found amidst construction equipment around 4 p.m. The police indicated he had no vital signs.

An MOL spokesperson said an inspector visited the site Monday and then an inspector and engineer returned Tuesday to conduct an investigation. The MOL issued an order to not disturb the site.
