Kasabonika Lake lagoon contract set
A contract has been awarded and construction has started on a new wastewater lagoon at the Kasabonika Lake First Nation.
The contract was awarded to Arnason Industries Ltd. for a new cost-effective wastewater treatment system in the community that meets all the regulatory requirements. Once complete, the system will provide a safe method of wastewater treatment for the community's projected population over the next 20 years, states a release. The federal government will invest nearly $9.9 million for this project.
Kasabonika Lake First Nation is located 448 kilometres northeast of Sioux Lookout, Ont.
