Minister of Public Infrastructure David Caplan addressed members of the Hamilton-Halton Construction Association on Tuesday.

He outlined the need for renewal of aging public infrastructure in the Greater Golden Horseshoe area as well as new construction, pointing out the area is the third fastest growing region in North America.

Following his address, Caplan fielded questions from the audience about the Ontario government’s plans regarding fresh water sustainability and waterfront redevelopment as well as improved public transportation between points north and south, in the Greater Golden Horseshoe area.

Caplan encouraged HHCA members and guests to remain active in their pursuit of provincial reinvestment in infrastructure in Hamilton and Halton. He encouraged dialogue with stakeholders to ensure he remains well informed.
