Since 2013, the Ajax GO Station has undergone extensive improvements, including a new parking structure with approximately 1,300 parking spaces, a new kiss and ride lot, and a signalled intersection to improve traffic flow through parking areas, indicates a release issued by Ontario's Ministry of Transportation.

In 2014, the platform and shelters were completely rehabilitated and a snow melt system was installed.

Ontario is undertaking a $21.3-billion transformation of the GO network, which is the largest commuter rail project in Canada. The investment will deliver faster and more frequent service and create thousands of jobs, adds the release.
