Worker dies in fall from fourth storey at Fredericton build
FREDERICTON, N.B. — WorkSafeNB continues to investigate after a worker fell four storeys to his death at a hotel construction site in downtown Fredericton, N.B.
The incident was said to have occurred at 9:35 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 30. Sources said the project was an eight-storey Hilton Garden Inn under construction on Queen Street.
A WorkSafeNB spokesperson said the following morning work remained stopped as WorkSafeNB conducted an investigation on site.
The fall was from a height of about 12.5 metres. Police and emergency crews responded to the incident.
