Construction is moving along for the Pan Am Games Athletes’ Village project in West Don Lands in Toronto, Ont.
Builders of the residential, recreational and mixed-use project are EllisDon Ledcor PAAV Inc. The project seeking LEED Gold certification will have six buildings consisting of two buildings for affordable housing, two market condominium buildings, a student residence and a YMCA recreational centre which will function as a training facility during the Games.
The owners are Waterfront Toronto, Infrastructure Ontario and Pan Am Toronto 2015. The project was designed by architectsAlliance, KPMB Architects and Daoust Lestage Inc. Dundee Realty Management Corp., and Kilmer Van Nostrand are the land developers. Consultants are: Adjeleian Allen Rubeli Ltd./ Halsall Associates (structural)and Hidi Rae Consulting Engineering Inc. (mechanical/electrical).
