Glass installation is moving upwards on the 88 Scott Condominium Residences and mixed-use project in Toronto.
Developer Concert Properties Ltd. along with Bird Construction are constructing the 61-storey, 525-unit building that will have retail and restaurant facilities on the ground floor, offices on floors two through five in an existing building that will be restored and five levels of underground parking. There will also be a core club with fitness studio, steam room and sauna, an outdoor area for barbecuing, sun tanning and alfresco dining. The project is targeting LEED Gold certification and the architect is Page & Steele/IBI Group. Consultants are: Stephenson Engineering (facade structure); M.V. Shore Associates (1993) Ltd. (mechanical/electrical) and Union 31 (interior design). Subtrades include: GFL Excavating Corp. and Limen Masonry (restoration); Alpine Forming Co. Ltd. (concrete formwork); Harris Rebar (concrete reinforcement); Global Precast Inc. (precast concrete); Malfar Mechanical Inc. (plumbing and sprinklers); OZZ Electric Inc. (electrical and fire alarm); Toro Aluminum (windows and curtain wall) and M.A.S. Sheet Metal Inc. (HVAC).
