REQUEST FOR TENDER CONSTRUCTION OF DRIVEWAY ACCESSES TO PROPOSED FIRE STATION ON EGLINTON AVENUE WEST AND CONSTRUCTION OF DRIVEWAY ACCESS ON BURNHAMTHORPE ROAD EAST

This contract is for the construction of road widenings to accommodate proposed construction of signalized driveway accesses at two (2) locations, Eglington Avenue West and Burnhamthorpe Road East. The work includes, but is not limited to: Road widening, excavation, granular placement, compaction, asphalt paving, concrete curb, subdrain installation, sidewalk, catchbasin relocations, and sod replacement, construction of Multi-Use Trail and centre medians, installation of Traffic Signals, Traffic Protection and Maintenance of Traffic, Installation of watermain and sanitary connections and all related appurtenances.
Tender forms will be available on line (www.biddingo.com/mississauga) and also at the address listed below on or about July 10, 2017.
Each tender must be accompanied by a certified cheque in the amount of $75,000.00. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish the City with a Performance and Maintenance Bond totalling 50%, and a Labour and Material Payment Bond totalling 50% of the contract amount.
Responses must be time-stamped to be considered. LATE BIDS will be rejected without exception.
Vendors are invited to attend a public opening commencing at 2:30 p.m., LOCAL TIME, on the day of closing, at the Mississauga Civic Centre, 300 City Centre Drive.
The tender will be reviewed as to the lowest price, qualifications, capabilities and experience of the bidder and the availability of funds by the Municipality to complete the work. The City reserves the right to accept or reject all or any bids and to waive informalities in accordance with established policy.
