WATER POLLUTION CONTROL PLANT (WPCP) UPGRADES

On or before 3:00 p.m. Local Time, Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017. Tenders will be opened publicly immediately thereafter in the Township Office.

This contract is for the construction of a new water pollution control plant located in Red Rock, Ontario on the north shore of Lake Superior. The work generally consists of construction of a new administrative and process building including head works area, four new circular primary and secondary clarifiers, two cells aerobic digester, two cloth disk filters, ultra violet disinfection, 710 mm diameter outfall pipe into Nipigon Bay of Lake Superior, site grading, and demolition of existing Red Rock WPCP.

Plans and contract documents may be obtained from the Hatch Corporation Thunder Bay Office located at 200 South Syndicate Avenue, Suite 301, or the Burlington Ontario Office located at 5035 South Service Rd, 6th Floor, plans and specifications are also available for viewing at the Thunder Bay, Winnipeg and Toronto Construction Associations. A mandatory site visit/ bidders meeting will be held at the Red Rock WPCP located at 3 Baker Road on Thursday, June 29th, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. (Local Time).

A non-refundable charge of $130.00 will be made for each set. Cheques shall be made payable to Hatch Corporation. Each tender shall be accompanied by tender security in the form of either a Certified Cheque/Bank Draft or Money Order in the amount of $750,000.00 made payable to the Township of Red Rock. A 100% Performance Bond and 50% Labour and Material Bond shall be provided prior to Contract Award.
