MAINTENANCE UPGRADES FOR THE LORNE PARK WATER TREATMENT PLANT,
CITY OF MISSISSAUGA, PROJECT 16-1907
The work includes replacement of the plate settlers and sludge collection equipment in four sedimentation tanks, replacement of filter drain gates and granular activated carbon of three filters in the conventional treatment plant, upgrades to the HVAC systems of the filtration, sodium bisulphite and hydrofluosilicic acid rooms, replacement of chlorine dosing lines and raw water sample lines, replacement of walkway, backwash piping and valves of eight granular carbon contactors including valves, replacement of existing light fixtures with LED lights in the conventional plant, upgrades to the MCC panels, concrete expansion joint repairs, and installation of new piping, valves and actuators in various areas.

Each tender must be accompanied by a certified cheque or bank draft in the amount of $300,000, and the successful vendor must provide a Performance Bond and Labour and Material Payment Bond by an approved guarantee company each for 50 per cent of the total tender.
MANDATORY SITE VISIT
A Mandatory Site Visit will be held at the Lorne Park Water Treatment Plant, 1180 Lakeshore Road West, Mississauga, ON and is scheduled for Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
Please note that the above facility is designated under the Regional Safety Program as a hard hat, safety vest and safety boot zone. All vendors’ representatives will be expected to arrive equipped with hard hat, reflective vest, safety glasses and CSA rated safety boots to participate in the site visit. Failure to wear the proper safety equipment may result in disqualification from completing the site visit and disqualification of your Vendor submission.
Tenders will be opened in public on closing date at 12:15 p.m. Please check with Purchasing on the first floor for location. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. It is the Vendor’s sole responsibility to ensure their submission is received by the time and date specified within the document.
